Mary Gammel started blogging to help her small business SEO clients learn more about how to get their websites noticed on search engines. In 2011, she launched SEO Tips and Strategies to expand the focus to small business SEO, SEM, and Web Marketing.

Mary has worked with small businesses since 1997, first as a programmer and technology consultant, then as an SEO consultant. She enjoys looking at the big picture and solving problems for clients.

In her work as an SEO consultant, Mary noticed that many SEO companies cater to big businesses and internet retailers with big budgets. And many website designers who work with small businesses don’t follow SEO best practices when creating websites. So she started blogging to help her small business clients and their website designers. The goal of SEO Tips and Strategies is to be a resource for small business website optimization and internet marketing ideas.

Mary is the owner and principal consultant of Quality Web Site Testing, LLC, a company specializing in organic SEO for small businesses. Her education includes bachelors and masters degrees in computer science. She’s worked over 25 years in the computing industry with experience in software development, software quality assurance, computer networking, and project management over a broad industry base.
