Did you know that your website page layout can affect your search rankings?
On January 19th, 2012, Google announced it’s Page Layout Algorithm Improvement. This new change will affect search rankings in the future for sites that have little content “above the fold.” On its Webmaster Central Blog, Google states that such sites may not rank as highly going forward.

If you’re thinking about redesigning your website, don’t forget to include an SEO Transition Plan in your redesign project. If you skip this step, you risk losing all of the organic search and referring traffic that you’ve built up over the years that your current website has been operational.

There are a lot of misconceptions floating around about search engine optimization (SEO). Part of my job as a website optimizer is to educate prospects and clients on what works and what doesn’t.
