Local search often refers to a way to submit your business information to the search engines to target your specific geographic area. I met with a prospect recently regarding an organic SEO project on his firm’s website. He’d just recently read a book on SEO and was a bit overwhelmed. He knew SEO was important as 80% of his clients come from the web. So, even a small improvement in his website’s visibility would be a big boon to his bottom line.

Where do search engines look for keywords on websites?
- Page Title
- Meta Description
- Meta Keywords
- Heading – H1, H2, H3, etc.
- Page content – text in body of page
- Image alt text
- Link text
- Directory structure of web site
- File names – html, image, pdf, php, etc.
- Site Navigation
- Site Map Page
